Intercom.io — A Marketing Automation Disruptor

Whether you’re a traditional B2C ecommerce business or a B2B information business, you’re probably spending hours of the day worried about your conversion rate. The % of visitors who take a specific action (buying is ideal!), an increase of 1% in your conversion rate translates to real money.

Traditionally, when it comes to moving people along the conversion funnel we’ve relied on channel-specific communication tools, .e.g marketing automation tools to communicate via email, popup messaging for in-app communications. Multiple tools for each possible touch point. Eloqua and Marketo have proven great for email while Olark has been our tool of choice for in-app messaging.

But, it gets messy. Wouldn’t it be great if there was one tool that could reach into both channels and faciliate both product development and sales nurturing?

Enter Intercom.io, a true disruptor.

They’re ultimately a threat to the traditional marketing automation product out there. For those of us already subscribing to the Eloquas of the world, we have some hurdles to moving quickly to Intercom, but watch out. These guys are taking the world by storm.
